A Red Hot Carnival Affair

A while back, we had the honor of shooting Kimberly and Joshua’s big day at the Farmington Depot Gallery. Every detail combined perfectly to form a ’50s inspired circus-themed wedding. Want to see more? Kimberly and Joshua’s wedding was just featured on The Lovely Find. Although the snow is looking beautiful today, take a moment to escape the cold weather and daydream of something a bit warmer!

Something Borrowed, Something Green

Spring is officially upon us and we’re feeling very green about what this season has to offer!

Spring is most noted for it’s feeling of a new beginning, beautiful blooms and its warmth in both color and temperature. One of it’s warmest colors is that of a green that is most unique to this time of year. Maybe it’s all the rain or the bold sunshine that produces such a color but this bright shade invites us outside and explore all possibilities.

We love seeing green played up in wedding details, as it encourages outside ceremonies in a beautiful garden or nearby field. Toss the color in your bridesmaid dresses, in centerpieces and of course in that overflowing bouquet.

Going green has taken on another interpretation in today’s world as everyone is becoming more Earth focused and friendly. Brides are becoming more in favor of organic details and trends in their wedding, such as experiencing the art of vegan cooking in a cocktail hour or dinner.

Another way to save some green, in terms of your checkbook, is to recycle and reuse your wedding dress. An example is donating your dress to a boutique, such as Athens’ local Dover Grace: An Alternative Bridal Boutique. This charming shop has designer dresses at a lower cost while offering a warm and hospitable atmosphere. You can visit their website at www.dovergracebridal.com.

Whether you’re doing you part in helping the environment or simply enjoying beautiful colors that define the spring season, we hope you are as inspired as we are to embrace the vibrant green trend this spring.
