A few months ago, we met with the contestants of the Ms. Senior Athens Celebration, an annual fundraising event benefitting the programs of Athens Community Council on Aging. Everyone was excited to get dolled up for their headshots and begin prepping for the upcoming pageant.
The ACCA has partnered with professionals and volunteers for over 45 years to service the Athens community. They have placed over 90 older adults in job training programs, maintain a successful Meals on Wheels program and have increased awareness on healthy living.
ACCA’s Ms. Senior Athens is a celebration of women ages 55 and older who know how to embrace life and represent the ideals of living and aging well. The judges will base their scores on interviews, personal style, on-stage questions and evening wear, and the woman who best exemplifies ACCA’s motto, “Live Well. Age Well” will become the new face and voice for the community.
The Ms. Senior Athens Pageant will take place this Sunday, April 21, at the Athens Country Club, and all of the proceeds will directly benefit ACCA’s programs. Come out and support these lovely ladies as they show us what elegance and poise is all about!
