Lydia of The Party Wagon fame throws the most amazing parties with details galore so when she called us to cover a ‘Little House on the Prairie’ party for her daughter Camille, we couldn’t wait to see what she would do! The party was staged on private property in an open pasture (or should we say prairie?) surrounded by woods. The ‘settlement’ was approached by walking down a path through those woods to the main event, complete with a chuck wagon, tee pee and live fiddler.
Party guests couldn’t wait to done their custom-made aprons and bonnets, and admire their hand monogrammed pillows that marked their place at the party table, set with linens and fresh flowers. The chuck wagon was filled to the brim with yummy cookies, cake pops and suckers in bright colors. Camille’s birthday cake was a study in gingham – and tasty too!
Fresh ice-cold lemonade and precious little bags of popcorn kept the girls busy while they played games appropriate to the time period and loved the little pony! Fun was had by all. Thanks, Lydia and Camille, for sharing your special day with us. We wish you many more to come.
