TALL TALES FROM TEXAS

We were asked to scout locations for an upcoming event of one of our commercial clients in Texas, so we decided to add a few days for fun and relaxation for ourselves.

Even thought the state is still suffering from very little rain, we were amazed at the beauty of its rivers and hidden spring fed ‘watering holes’.  All the limestone sediment renders the water a gorgeous teal blue.  Quite unexpected!

Cowboys old and  young were everywhere, as is amazing epicurean delights.  Austin is right up there with ‘best meals ever’.  And the Hill Country is claiming it’s place in the wine business with row after row of vineyards with glamorous tasting rooms and private wine club accommodations.  Rivals any we’ve seen in Sonoma, California.

Big sky, great food, interesting shops and people – and plenty of time to sleep in.  Mission accomplished.  We’ll be back!
