The Georgia Museum of Art had its grand re-opening ribbon cutting event the other night after a 20 million dollar face lift. We were fortunate enough to attend this spectacular event along with over 350 guests. Local artists created the evening’s theme as it reflected the museum’s changed appearance with a metamorphosis motif throughout. The butterfly theme flew throughout with 2000 origami butterflies and was included in the paper, silk and flowers. The band Grogus completed the mood as they played well into the night.
The art gallery is first class, on par with any other museum in a major city. The museum has free admission and it is an absolute must see. It will make you very proud of your city and its supporters of the arts. Thank you for letting us be a part of it!
